Masterclass and Advanced workshops for Primary Teachers
This year we have organized three advanced/masterclass workshops for Primary teachers who have undertaken workshops in the following strands in the past. These participants will be notified directly by email.
The booking fee per workshop is €25.00.
Participants will be introduced to a number of drawing techniques using mixed-media and a variety of drawing instruments, within the beautiful setting of Castletown House Co. Kildare. The workshop will allow participants to explore observation drawing through still life arrangements, aspects of the surrounding environment and details of the human figure.
Participants will experiment and explore with the characteristics of various materials use in making 3D constructions. A variety of construction techniques will be introduced as a basis to forming both representational and non-representational structures with an emphasis on shape, form, balance, space and texture.
Participants will explore and discover the possibilities of clay through a variety of techniques that include coil and slab building. The workshop will give participants the opportunity to experiment with additive and subtractive decorative techniques in high and low relief while also encouraging participants to discover the possibilities of clay as a form of imaginative expression.
