NCAD Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme 2012-13
(Part 1) for second level Art Teachers.
We have organized six workshops to take place in Part 1 of the NCAD CPD Programme between October and December 2012. All workshops and facilitators are back by popular demand. Descriptions for each of the individual workshops and details of facilitators, dates and venues can be accessed HERE shortly.

Part 2 of the NCAD CPD Programme will include six more practical workshops, Study Tours and Art History and Appreciation lectures. Details will be published in November.
As these workshops prove to be very popular we would advise you to fill out the online booking form HERE and return the CPD Payment Form as soon as possible. Confirmation of a place on a workshop will be sent by email once the booking fee has been received. Booking fees will be returned if the course is over or under subscribed only. The booking fee per workshop is €25. Cheques or Postal Orders only should be made out to Faculty of Education CPD.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Blackrock, Drumcondra and Dublin West Education Centres who work very closely with us in the organization and funding of the NCAD CPD Programme. Many thanks also, to our extremely talented and hard working facilitators without whom this CPD programme would not as successful as it is.

NCAD CPD Programme for Art Teachers 2011-12.
Part 2 of the 2011-12 CPD programme offers the following practical workshops and study tours:
CPD 01: Life Drawing 7th, 21st, 28th February & 6th and 13th March NCAD.
CPD 02: Puppetry 20th, 27th March & 17th, 24th April NCAD.
CPD 03: Graphic Design 29th February & 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th April NCAD.
CPD 04: Print 2nd, 9th, 23 February & 1st and 8th March NCAD.
CPD 05: Drawing 24th March, Art Room, St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra.
CPD 06: Architectural Modelling 21st and 28th April Blackrock Education Centre.
CPD 07: Marino Casino Study Tour 25th February Marino Casino, Fairview, Dublin.
CPD 08: Docklands Architecture Tour 3rd March Meet: Custom House (River Side).
Workshops are open to Art teachers in the greater Dublin region only. Workshops in other regions will be announced shortly.
The booking fee for each workshop is €25.
Study tours are open to Art teachers, family and friends from all regions.
The booking fee per tour is €15.

CPD Post-Primary 2011 - 2012 Part 1.
Dear Colleague,
I hope you had a good summer break. Here are the details of the NCAD Continuing Professional Development programme for 2011. This term we are offering the following 6 workshops, 1 study day and 3 Art Appreciation lectures between October and December. As 2011 is the year of Craft in Ireland we are offering 4 Craft workshops this term.
Workshops: (Open to teachers in the Dublin region only).
- Portfolio Preparation - Thursday 6th, 13th & 20th October. 6-9pm at NCAD.
- Printed Textiles - Tuesday 8th 15th 22nd 29th November. 6-8.30pm at NCAD.
- Animation - Thursday 10th, 17th, 24th November and 1st December. 6-8.30 pm. NCAD
- Glass - Saturday 3rd and 10th December. 10am-4pm at NCAD.
- Calligraphy - Saturday 5th and 19th November. 10am-4pm at DWEC.
- Batik Saturday 12th and 26th November 10am-4pm at St. Patrick’s College.
- Study Day: (Open to all teachers and friends). Russborough House - Saturday 22nd October 10am-4pm. FULL DETAILS HERE.
Art Appreciation lectures: Monday evenings in NCAD (Open to all teachers and friends). These lectures are designed to help teachers prepare lessons for the Appreciation section of the Leaving Certificate syllabus.
- Product Design - 7th November. 8.30pm at NCAD.
- Gallery Visit - 14 November. 7-8.30pm at NCAD.
- Creative Spaces, Art and Architecture - 21st November. 7-8.30pm at NCAD.
